I figured I'd best post before my boss comes in this morning. She went on the rampage about us using the Internet yesterday. Heh, she doesn't realize that when she's gone most of us use it any ways. It's not like I'm surfing for porn sites! I actually just use the computer to check out cosplay and costume patterns. She actually doesn't seem to mind me using it as much as anyone else. That's one small plus, but it's not gonna' matter pretty soon any ways 'cuz next Thursday, I'm out of here! ::does happy dance:: Even if I don't know where I'm going, I don't care right now, 'cuz in least I know I'm not gonna' be miserable!

Well, I'm winding down on the costumes. I didn't get my Sissy's Moogle wings done as I was finishing up my handbags. Going with us to the convention will be as follows:

5. Genjo Sanzo as a gift to my Imoutochan

Kewl, ne? I love making these bags, their so much fun! My coworker even wants to buy a couple from me for her niece and her friend's niece! Kee, I might have an industry yet, ne?...

LotR news for today, I was wandering around the Borders book store and once again saw the Aragorn stand up. Had to remind myself not to go about throwing myself on top of the card board standie and kissing it senseless. Hai, I openly admit that in this case I am uterally hopeless!... Oooh, and I want my doujinshi to get her so bad!... ::grumbles:: Why does snail mail have to take SO long?! I know, I know, I should be grateful it's even coming but it's just taking too long! I want it before I leave to NDK! Heh, so I can show my dear Imoutochan, Faramirchan that I too have the LotR piece missing in our lives! ::laughs:: I can't wait to start on the costumes! Arwen and Aragorn shall rule the movie theatre this winter!

Anyhoo, I had better go, peeps are starting to show up for work and I can't afford to be caught. RANDOM LOTR THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You Know You Watch Too Much LotR When: You have the White Tree embroidered into the front of ALL your clothing...

I'm winding down on my few days still here at the real estate agency. I'm gonna' miss a lot of my coworkers, but I'm sure as hell NOT going to miss my boss! Oi, she's as sweet as sugar now to me knowing that I'll be leaving now. Makes me disgusted some times, I swear. People annoy me WAY too much for my tastes. Heh, and I work in advertising, how sick is that?... =T.T= But you gotta' pay the bills somehow!

So happy!! Tonight and maybe a bit of tomorrow and all the costumes for this years NDK trip will be finished! I did Rikku's padded glove last night but hated the results, so with my mom's incredibly insightful idea, I'm redoing it tonight! The way my mum saw it, it'll actually hold together and not fall apart when I wear it! Yosha! I still hate the padded glove though. I mean, Rikku is such a super kewtie, and then she's got this bulky arm thing? Oh well, can't have everything, ne? Oooh, and I get to do Sissy's new Moogle wings! I can't wait to do these, I've been saving them for last because they're gonna' look so kewl! I know that most Moogles have those short little wings, but I decided this year to make wings that attack with ribbons to my Sissy's arms so when she folds out her arms, you can see them! I can't wait to see the results, they're gonna' look so lovely!

LotR news for today, Aestheticism just e-mailed me telling my LotR doujinshi is on it's way!! YOSHA!! Heh, I'm just in it for the AragornXBoromir sequence, everyone else can have the AragornXLegolas section. Aye, I'm not a very big fan of that pairing. I think it's 'cuz I see it so often. I admit, I rather like Legolas with Sam, but I'm weird that way. Oooh, and they've got the lovely LotR action figures on clearance at my toy store! Heh, gonna' have to stock up so I can be ready for the Two Towers premier. Speaking of that, man, I've got to start kickin' on my Strider and Arwen costumes if I want to get them done by December! Yah, figured out that I never stop sewing now, haven't you? Strider is gonna' be expensive, but I think if I use cheap upholstery vinyl instead of real leather, that will cut the cost down big time! Oi, just a bit obsessed, ain't I?...

RANDOM LOTR THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You Know You Watch Too Much LotR When: You go to the extent of buying grey contact lenses and always making sure your hair is dyed black and worn long.

This will be a bit of a different entry today. We all know the importance of today, being it's been such a moment in our nation's history. I would like to take a moment to thank an unsung hero that aided one of my friends during the falling of the Twin Towers.

My friend Clint was staying at the base of the towers in one of the motels that was partially destroyed by the falling debris. He had ran out of the building, getting struck by much of the falling rock. He didn't remember how he ended up near a ferry that was taking people to New Jersey, but he did. He was wearing no shoes, and no shirt. A gentleman saw Clint and came over. Clint had quite a few bruises and such and was in shock from the whole thing. The man took off his shoes and took off his shirt and gave them to Clint. He then gave Clint the money to take the only ferry that would be crossing the river that day. Because of this man, my friend was able to get to New Jersey and call his wife. I don't know who he was but I want to tell him THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! Because of you, Clint was able to come home to us in one piece. For this, I am eternally grateful. To all the unsung heros who did small and great things, our hearts are with you whether you are still with us, or whether you have moved on to the next light. Much has happened and I am so grateful that we are still here and still have those around us to love. We are truly blessed.

I would like to thank Professor Tomoe for featuring me as one of the 10 new cosplayers, that was very sweet of you. I've almost completed the last of the costumes and will be quite the premiere at NDK this year. I look forward to seeing everyone, especially my dear imoutochan, Rekkachan. We'll be seeing each other soon, sweetie! ::smiles::

I figured it would just be easier for me to post my Blog right now when everyone is up in staff meeting... ::GROANS:: I'm really grateful that my boss didn't decide to include me in those damned things, they take forever! But, in least I'm not as worried as I was about quitting my job. My 'rents reminded me that I've never had trouble getting employment before and after chatting with my friend LN Tora last night, I feel much better. I'm gonna be find, and I know it now.

Will be sewing Oniisan's Sanzo robes today. I'm almost completed with my Rikku costume, it's 95% done, I just have to do the glove, the boots, and make sure everything is in place. I kid you not, it took me 2 hours to sew those stupid shorts last night because for the life of me, I couldn't understand the sewing directions. It just turns out I needed to actually look at the picture and ignore the words. ::LAUGHS:: I'm a massive visual learning incidentally! Oh, and I joined a cosplay organization! I'm gonna' post their banner next post, but I'm at The Cosplay Lab. You can find me under "Miracle Shining" of course! There's only one pic of me as 2nd player Shorty right now, but I'll have more to add after the con!

LotR news today, I swear if I don't get my hands on that Faramir figure pretty soon, I'll scream! He looks so beautiful with the emblem of the White Tree on his chest! ::sniffles:: I'm probably grateful they haven't made a full stand up yet, or I'd be sleeping with it in my bed! Heh, no seriously folks, I probably would. I am so weird that way. And the Topps cards! ::cries:: I swear, I need to find a job right quick after this ends next Thursday or I'm gonna go broke just trying to collect all that is Faramir related! Yah, I am hopeless, I know.

RANDOM LOTR THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You Know You Watch Too Much LotR When: You insert random Elvish words into every day conversation... and your friends know what you're talking about...

I've done one of the scariest things of my life... I gave my two weeks notice at my job today without having anything coming up. I really prayed and prayed that I would know what to say and I don't know why, but I ended up telling my boss I was moving! This is partially true, as I'm planning to move to Florida hopefully next year, but not as soon as I told her! ::sighs:: I really hope that I know what I'm doing, I mean, I know that I'm not supposed to be working here, but I'm really scared about what the future brings. What about if I don't get my job in Florida? What then?! I mean, I know her well enough to know she could possibly black ball me from getting employment around here if Disney doesn't work out... I am REALLY scared and that's not a lie. I've been doing so well about holding a smile and trying to keep everything in check, but I don't know where my life is going now and I've got so many bills and... Well, I know that whatever will be will be, no matter how terrified I am and how unsure I am right now... I just have to keep the faith.

On a lighter note, I'll be hopefully finishing up ALL the costuming this week. Which is good because I'm going to be without money for a while. ::sniffles:: This is really hard for me, I've never been this scared before. I hope that my parents won't think I'm a complete loser for this, it's been so hard for me trying to find a stable job with an art degree...

Okay, LotR news generally cheers and I've actually got good news. My small very light AragornXFrodo slash fiction piece I wrote WAY back in July has been accepted to be published in the "Shadow and Flame Fanzine" being published by the lovely ladies at The Library of Moria! I'm quite excited, this will be the second time I've had something published professionally, the first being a short poem when I was still in high school. Who knows, maybe I should have been a writer, ne?... I also got to watch LotR for the second time since I bought it on DVD. Hai, I'm not that obsessive that I have to watch it all the time, I think it keeps it more fresh if I don't...

Anyhoo, that's all for today. Gomen ne that this is a somewhat depressing and short entry. I hope that something is going to work out, 'cuz I'm not sure why I'm doing what I'm doing for right now. Thanks for everyone's support... Ja!...
