CURRENT SONG:
"Old Time Rock and Roll" by Bob Seger

I have to say that I had quite a fun day at work today, minnasan! One of my coworkers brought in his stereo system, a plant and an old lava lamp of his daughter's. ::laughs:: I hung up some of my drawings, and we got pop and cereal bars in the room too. We dimmed the lights and today was more like having a goofy party with work included. It sure makes the atmosphere nicer when all of us get along, ne? Oh, and I've been put in charge of redesigning the web page. Neither of my coworkers really know how to use Frontpage 2000, and since I had 12 weeks of training in it in school, what better use can I be? Plus, I'm noted in the paper's sub heading as the "Graphic Artist/Web Master." I think it should be Web Mistress, ne? CALL ME YOUR QUEEN!! ::snaps whip:: Heh, I'm okay...

Harry Potter comes out tomorrow night. ::sniffles:: I'm gonna make sure that Kichan gives me some details on the film, but not the whole movie. I'm gonna' try and convince my two best friends that we should go to like the really late showing of it on Saturday night, but I'm not sure if they'll go for it. Heh, we're all pretty broke, so a movie is a really big expendeture for us. I guess I should be glad that we've got cheap movies compared to the bigger cities, ne?

QUIZZETH TIME! Hai, I know, you're probably wondering when I'll run out of these things, ne? Probably never, as long as Quizilla and Select Smart are always up and running! ::giggles:: Okay, this is actually a silly quiz I took on a whim, I've never even seen the actual anime, just the video game.

What Horrible Kirby Anime Character Am I?

Tuffibuns
Which horrible Kirby Anime Character are You?

brought to you by Quizilla

Well, I don't know who the heck Tuff is, but he's a kewt little bugger, ne? ::chuckles:: I think I like his hair, but the little pants he wears have their own allure... Almost Hobbit like... ::gets dreamy eyed:: Woah, had a random Frodo moment!

LotR news for today, I was pleased to find out that my coworker in my production team is as big of a LotR fan as I am. He thought my One Ring necklace was really kewl, so he started calling me Sauron. ::laughs:: Never pictured myself as a big flaming eye, but I can stare at people until their forced to look awa, so maybe that's a start, ne? Anyhoo, he's actually read the Simarillion. I just can't get into that book. Hai, I know, a true LotR fan should, but I'm not that big of an Elf fan, even if they were Tolkien's chosen people. I'd much rather read about Frodo and what he had to go through. And Kamisama, he sure had to go through a lot! I often wonder if I was Sam, could I have stayed that true? Then again, if I was Faramir or Aragorn, I would have followed Frodo into the very depths of Mordor! Heck, I think they should of, but there's that Hobbit bias coming through again!

That's all for tonight, minnasan. I won't be posting again until Sunday, I'm going home Friday night to spend a couple nights at my 'rents house, get a good meal, see my friends... Do laundry... ::chuckles:: Best to get it while it's free, ne? Anyhoo, domo arigato for the 1500+ hits, and ja ne for now! =~.^=V

RANDOM LOTR THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faramir stared at the maps in front of him and realized at that moment not only were they totally lost, but someone had spilt gravy over the path to the White City...

CURRENT SONG:
"Open Your Mind" by Mirai from "Genosmaden Saiyuki Image Album: Volume 1"

Well, minnasan, it was a pretty good day at work today for me! The only problem was, is that my Production Team is very efficient. In fact, we're a bit too efficient. Today I ended up going home from work early 'cuz there wasn't anything for us to do! It's good that I caught those extra couple hours on Monday and Tuesday. I'll be able to still pull out 40 hours a week this time around, but oi, I can't afford any more of these "nice breaks" after a hard day! I've got too many bills to pay. I guess I should be grateful for the spare time off today though, it let me run some of the errands I hadn't gotten to yet.

"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" opens on Friday. ::sniffles:: I really envy my friend Kichan for getting to go. I really wanted to see the premiere, but I'll have to wait until it reaches the $1 theatres here. Hai, minnasan, we actually have $1 theatres where I live. If you're patient enough, you can watch the movie on South Dakota's biggest screen ever at a place called The Elk's Theatre. I kid you not, the screen is almost as tall and as wide as a Drive in Theatre screen, it's even got a balcony! I went and saw LotR: FotR for the second time there. Sat in the third row and almost busted my neck watching, but it was worth it! Harry Potter will defiantely be even more fun seeing it there. Oh, and on a side note, I own a Harry Potter toothbrush. ::laughs:: I am such a geek.

My art work has sure gotten better now that I'm living by myself without any distractions. I think that I'm going to join this new web site that allows artists to display their work freely. Meh buddy Moon-chan showed me the site, she's got some of her awesome work up on it. The place is called Deviant Art.com and is one of the kewlest places to visit! Go and look up her work and my buddy Fairychan's, you'll love it!

LotR news for today is also my famous or infamous quiz time! I really didn't have any new LotR news or thoughts today, so I figured I'd just jump on over to Quizilla and see if they had any new LotR quizzes I hadn't taken! For once I was in luck, and I like the result of this one!

What Kind of LotR Fan Am I?

just%20fine%20by%20me
What kind of Lord of the Rings fan are you?

brought to you by Quizilla

WOO! It's good to know that I haven't gotten completely obsessive compulsive with my LotR fascination. That may all change though as soon as TTT hits the movie screen and Faramir comes riding up on his horse. ::swoons:: I just hope by Elbereth that I don't turn into a "screaming fan girl..." Okay, a "drooling fan girl" would be okay, Dave Wenham is just too beautiful for words in my opinion. Not quite as lovely as Elijah Wood or as daring as Viggo Mortenson, but definately hands down delicious. Then again, I might just be bias since he is my all time fave LotR character, ne?

Well, that's all for tonight, minnasan. I've got a hot shower that's calling me and a cup of hot chocolate that just must be drank! ::chuckles:: Oh, I hope you like my new beginning thing, I thought I'd list what song I was listening to for the day, makes the entries seem a little more personal. Domo arigato for the many hits and please sign my Guestbook if you get the chance! I'll try to update my Profile Bar coming up some time next week! Ja ne for now, minnasan! =~.^=V

RANDOM LOTR THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Frodo held the One Ring in his hands and realized that not only was it all powerful, but gold definately didn't go with his skin tone...

Tuesday, November 12, 2002

It was definatively an odd day at work. Don't get me wrong, today went far better than the past week, but our Technical Director came in today, dropped his key on the desk and quit on the spot, leaving the production team high and dry with no way to access his files! Oi, I had to dig way back into my memory of very old computer classes and figure out how to open up the sub directories on his hard drive under another computer! ::sighs and rubs temples:: But, on the up and up, the paper still headed out the door only fifteen minutes late to the printer. The down side was I came in with my coworker at 6 a.m., no lunch, and worked until a quarter to three. I was really glad to get home, I thought I'd faint! Ate my lunch then and sat. I'm getting very good at staring out into space since starting this job! ::LAUGHS::

Gensomaden Saiyuki news, LNchan told me that ADV Films picked the series up instead of Pioneer. In least I know that ADV will provide some great English voice seiyuu. I can't wait to hear how Gojyo and Hakkai sound in English. I hope they get the guy who voiced Marron for Sanzo, it would be perfect! As for Goku, I'm not sure, he's squeaky even in Japanese. Oooh, but I know that if Crispin Freeman worked with ADV, he would make the perfect voice for Homurasama, my third favorite Saiyuki character! Yum, Minekurasama knew what she was doing when she designed him! Then again, I've always been weak for mix colored eyes!

Tonight's Quiz Time is compliments of LNchan and her Blournal! ::laughs:: After a subtle hint... ::wink wink nudge nudge:: I figured that I should also take the quiz to see my results!

What Kind of Writer Am I?

What's YOUR Writing Style?

brought to you by Quizilla

You are a descriptive writer. An avid reader of Robert Frost, perhaps, you LOVE to use flowery words and use the paper and pen as your canvas and paintbrush. You prefer to paint a mental image rather than simply toy around with people's minds. A very inspired person, you love to be in nature and usually are a very outdoorsy type of person. A writer with a natural green thumb, perhaps?

Hey, I actually do love Robert Frost! I never thought I'd be the Descriptive writer, I thought I'd come up with the Morbid Writer result! ::chuckles:: Of course, I automatically love this button, it's got Rocielsama on it, but I kinda would have liked to have been a Classical writer like LNchan, her button has Chiichan on it!

LotR news for today, I mentioned yesterday that I found that lovely Harry Potter/LotR magazine. Got me to thinking, there should be more articles featuring the new cast! I was really bummed that even on-line I couldn't find much in the line of interviews with neither Karl Urban or Dave Wenham. Of course, I am searching more heavily for the Dave Wenham interviews, my Faramir addiction becoming more and more pronounced the closer we get to the premiere! ::laughs:: Plus, of course, I can't wait to see the Frodo fainting in the water scene... Of even better yet, Frodo fainting into Faramir. Oi, in the words of the Great Cassandra Claire and her "Very Secret Diaries...," my "Pervy Hobbit Fancying" is starting to show! I just hope that I don't swoon when Frodo faints... Or just swoon in general whenever Faramir is on-screen...

That's all for today, minnsan, I'm finally getting used to my own place. Now if I can just keep my fingers crossed that I'll have enough money to pay the bills. Domo arigato for the 1500+ hits to my Blog, I'm surprised that many people read this thing! Ja ne for now! =~.^=V

RANDOM LOTR THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Celeborn's Bumper Sticker Would Read: "I Brake for Omniscent Blondes..."

Monday, November 11, 2002

Guess what, minnasan? I'M BACK!!! ::laughs:: Hai, I'm sure you all missed me while I was gone. Oi, I can't believe how much went into moving me in, but I'm finally in my place, have my phone, my lights, my MDU, and now my Internet in place. Feels just like my home now! But oi, the job could be better. Don't get me wrong, it's a good job, it's just not what I planned on. Basically, I was thrown into something I wasn't quite ready for and it wasn't in my job description. ::sighs:: But I guess that's what happens when you don't get the full details ne? But the plus is my apartment is wonderfully artsy and looks more like an actual home than it does an apartment. I even have my own porch! Plus, the apartment is off the ground and it's very secure, so that makes me feel better. The Con is if I don't get more hours at my supposed full time job, I'll be finding a secondary part time job so I can pay for my place and still eat! But getting out on your own is never easy, is it?

Cosplay news, I unfortunately won't be able to get my LotR costumes done by the premiere of TTT. It bums me, but I figure I had better in least have enough money to eat and get Christmas presents before I decide on any new costumes. BUT I am planning out how to do my youkai version of Hakkai. I can't wait to get that costume done, and then of course my Dark Riku from KH, that outfit will be a blast to make! I found out my apartment is only about two blocks away from the local second hand sporting goods store, so I'll check out there soon if they've gotten any wet suits in! That'll make it even easier, and it'll be shiny! I love the costumes that shimmer and sparkle, I think they look like they've had so much more work put into them! ::smiles::

QUIZ TIME! ::laughs:: Hai, I couldn't come back to my Blog without in least having one quiz to show off! This was actually a pretty fun one and I love the little animated .gif that came with it!

What FFVIII Male Character am I compatible with?

Which Final Fantasy VIII Guy are You Compatible With?

brought to you by Quizilla
Your Man is Irvine! You're kinky! He's kinky! It works! And although you pretend not to like his advances, you're into his charm.

::GRINZ:: As much as I love my Squallsama, this is a perfect result for me! My actual saying on all my cosplay sites and just a saying I have in general is "Irvine, it's not just a name, it's a way of life!" ::chuckles:: I actually am planning to do a girl version of Irvine just for fun some time soon. Won't be really elaborate, but it'll be fun to make and I can't wait to do the coat!

LotR news for today, I was in my grocery store with my mum and was paging through the magazines and my eyes fell upon the Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets and LotR: The Twin Towers double magazine special! I almost squealed and inside was a poster with yummy Frodo's eyes gazing out! So, I quickly paged through it and I was very disappointed when I found only two small pictures of Frodo and one very tiny one of Faramir! ::sniffles:: But, on the plus side, they had a one page article dedicated to Karl Urban's character Eomer! Yum! But, they also had a four page article dedicated to Liv Tyler and her portrayal of Arwen! Don't get my wrong, I think Arwen is awesome and such a beautiful character, but she's hardly even in TTT, in fact in the book she almost not there at all, so maybe they could have dedicated a little more to Frodo and Sam's journey or the Battle at Helm's Deep, ne?

Anyhoo, that's all for today. I'll let everyone know how my job goes and my further exploits here in my new city and my life! Domo arigato for 1400+ hits and please sign my Guestbook, minnasan! Ja ne for now! =~.^=V

RANDOM LOTR THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: As the rain lashed down upon Aragorn at the front lines of the Battle of Helm's Deep, he realized that it was the first time in a long time his hair was being washed...
