To quote LNchan, tomorrow is of course, "Half Price off Candy Day..." ::grinz:: That's more a day of celebration for me than today is! Of course, I figured I'd dress for the occassion, so I stated whom I loved by putting on my black "I Love ME!" shirt, my black slacks and my black feather lined satin jacket. Hai, it seems fitting to wear black on V-Day, ne? ::laughs:: I was going to put on all my eye make-up and really do up a complete Gothic Lolita look for the occassion, but I figure I'll wait until this evening if I go out or not. Anyhoo, I figure today is a great free chocolate day, ne?

Cosplay musings for today, I found a pattern for crocheting a Harry Potter scarf! So naturally, I got it off the computer and just went and bought the yarn for it! Turns out it's quite simple. I was also pleased to see that my college grad robe will work fine for a Hogwart's uniform robe, so I now just have to make the sweater, the tie and the Gryffindorf badge after I finish the scarf and I'll have a Gryffindorf outfit to wear for the next Harry Potter movie! ::grinz:: I'm really looking forward to it!

LotR musings for today, I still haven't found out whether or not their showing the trailer for RotK like they did with FotR. Does anyone know if they are? Oh yah, and does anyone know if TTT got nominated for Best Picture this year at the Academy Awards? I don't get TV, so I never know what's going on and my computer is too fussy to let me check the award nominee list. Of course, we know that TTT will get overlooked in favor of a movie like "Chicago..." ::sighs:: I bet that Peter Jackson will not win a single Oscar for Best Picture or Best Director for any of his films. Poor guy!

I'd like to state now that there has GOT to be a law against days like this. I get to work only to find out that my other two production members can't make it in. I had three people breathing down my neck immediately, one shouting at me for something I had nothing to do with and the boss man wasn't to be seen for another hour. Really, I do love my job... =-.-=;; Of course, my boss assured me that I can HANDLE everything, after all, it's not that much to do. I have never been this upset before. I am on the verge of actually being angry, and that is a rarity. I'll be glad when I'm done here. I miss my two coworkers, since they always help me with alot of the questions and such that I don't have an answer for. Oi, I hope they come tomorrow or I'm afraid I'll be walking out the door and that's it...

On the up and up, I did finish my Rikku scarf last night. ::smiles:: It's really pretty, it's tri-colored bright yellow, orange and red with long yellow tassles at the bottom. It's also 78 inches long and about five inches wide! I can't believe that I managed to crochet that whole thing in two nights and a lunch break! I think I might make the Rikku headband tonight since I've got the blue material on spare for that, and start designing the white arm bands with the ribbons.

::chuckles:: Going a bit old school with my music today, ne? Well, I already warned my head of my department about my depature from the company by April, now I've got to be ready to present it to my boss the first of March. I'm actually pretty scared, since there's a potential he'll tell me just not to come back when I tell him, even if I have viable reasons. But, I know it's something that I have to do, so it's not as scary as I think it will be. I'm also going to be calling some of the local newspapers and see if they have need of a new layout person/Graphic Artist. I'm really grateful for everything my coworkers Jason and Mike have taught me. They've been the best to me and have always looked out for me. I think leaving my job will be the hardest when it comes to saying goodbye to them. Fortunately, I won't have to worry too much, they'll only be an hour away and I can always stick my head in and terrify Jason every month or so. ::laughs:: I'm sure that he's really looking forward to that...

Cosplay musings for today, I started in on my Rikku scarf yesterday and am hand crocheting it. Believe it or not, but in one evening, I'm almost half done with it! I'm almos half way done crocheting the red, and then I can start crocheting the second half of red, move back down to orange, then to the last of the yellow, attack the tassles and I'm done! I should be finished by this evening at the latest! ::chuckles:: Here I thought that part of the costume was going to be the hard part! I've really enjoyed making the scarf too, it's been really fun and I crocheted it so that it will be an actual useable scarf even after I'm doing wearing the costume!

LotR news for today, I realized listening to my FotR soundtrack yesterday that I still don't own the TTT soundtrack! I need to set a bit of money aside so that I can get that one just for the "Song of Gollum!" It's so beautiful and so painful. I actually do feel bad for Gollum, he really is a pitiful creature. But, if it wasn't for him, the Ring would have never been destroyed, ne? Oi, I'm starting to get all "intellectual" on LotR and I'm too silly for that! ::grinz::

It has been a most interesting day. ::chuckles:: I arrived at work to find out that our secretary/typesetter had quit on the spot and was not coming back. I used to be a secretary at the Chamber of Commerce in Belle Fourche when I was a teenager, so naturally my coworker Jason put me at the desk and let me go to it! It was a tiring thing trying to figure out the mess that the other secretary left behind, but I currently have all the stories with the exception of two placed in the Finished folders and ready to go for newspaper placement. I love doing secretarial work, but I must admit I hope I don't have to do the typeset part of it any more. ::laughs:: My back was killing me from having to crouch over all the paperwork! I'm just hoping that they find a new secretary/typesetter by next week, I don't think my lower back could take it!

Dave, I hope your back is better. Really concerned me, I hope that you had another look over after the accident. If not, in least take it easy for me, hai?

Cosplay musings, I've decided to actually go ahead and crochet Rikku's scarf for my costume. I sorta' decided it a couple nights ago when my mum and I were chatting and I was pointing out I had nothing to do. She wondered if I was working on any of my costumes, but my budget right now is so tight, I can't afford any good material, so I jokingly told her maybe I oughta' just crochet Rikku's scarf then to kill time. She then said "Why not?" and I realized that was a very good point! I don't have anything to do when I'm home and I llove to crochet, so that will be my next big project will I'm gathering funds and trying to find red PVC vinyl for Sissy's "Misato" costume!

LotR news for today, I visited the wonderful Japanese website "Immortal" the other day and found some of the most beautiful BoromirXAragorn light slash fan art. I do mean light, everything was tastefully done, and the artist has an amazing way of making the characters actually look like people! I was so impressed I was going to e-mail her, but I'm not sure if she does read in English. On a side note, she also does fan art for Metal Gear Solid and Solid 2, Devil May Cry and Cry 2, Final Fantasy X, LotR, The Watcher and some miscellaneous films. Very good!

It's snowing once again... I'm starting to wonder if it's ever going to stop! But, in least this evening my otakuchan are coming over to see me, I think we might go out for dinner. It'll be my only big expenditure for the next two weeks.

I want to tell Kichan that I am SO grateful that you're okay. My 'rents were as worried as I was, and they told me to make sure that you were okay today, so I'll try to make sure I'm on-line to check on you. I'm at my 'rents home during the weekend, so if you need to call me, remind me to give you their new phone number, hai? ::hugs her:: Everything will be okay in time.

I'd also like to blame LNchan for giving me a new obsession. She's introduced me to an anime called "Wolf's Rain" and of course, she pegged me for the character I immediately went for. LotR news for today, I visited the wonderful Japanese website JOMMYWORKS, and the wonderful webmistress had drawn a very cute short manga of how she got to meet Viggo Mortenson and Karl Urban while they were visiting Japan! VERY FUNNY! She even drew how all her friends were so swoony they could hardly talk to the actors! ::chuckles:: Guess it shows that no matter where you go in the world, you're bound to run into one LotR fan there! I can't wait to see TTT again if they put the RotK preview on it! That will make it so much more worth the money!
