Konbanwa, minnasan! I hope that everyone is doing well... The rain has settled down again for a brief time and the wind is soft and slightly warm outside. I enjoy early summer here in the Black Hills region 'cuz it's still not quite too hot... Then again, NOTHING is too hot for me! I love when it's a 105 with now wind out... I lay on the sidewalk and bake like a desert lizard...

I am pleased to say that my doujinshi commission for the wonderful Starchan (spawnstar) is coming along splendidly! I've finished five pages, and it's going to be about a 16-25 page doujinshi without the front and back cover. Starchan told me it'll be the first Matrix doujinshi of any kind that she's seen! That feels really kewl to me, and I hope that it'll be half as good as she hopes!

Speaking of doujinshi, most people who know me know I am an avid collector. But I just don't collect any kind of doujinshi. I have to be relatively familiar with the circle before I bother to even pick it up. My current desire is to obtain ALL of the Trigun doujinshi put out by the circle Death Powder. I found this particular circle absolutely wonderful. My main reason is that the men in the doujinshis are NOT pretty... They are torn up and scarred, and they look like men who've been through hell... Secondly, Death Powder is the only circle I've seen that does some very, very tasteful hentai doujinshi, though they specialize mostly in yaoi doujinshi. Thirdly, and my favorite reason for wanting to collect all of these, is they specialize in "REVERSAL" pairings... Which means just 'cuz the guy starts out as seme, that doesn't mean by the end of the story, he still is! Most interesting is the fact that each one of the three main men (Vash, Wolfwood, and Knives) are all seme/ukes... Though in the case with Death Powder, Vash generally is the seme, Wolfwood is the "wild card" and can go either way and oddly enough, Knives is generally the uke, especially with Vash. Mind you, this isn't always the case, I've seen Death Powder do VashXWolfwood, VashXKnives, WolfwoodXVash, KnivesXVash, KnivesXWolfwood, etc... I have never seen a circle do such a wide range of seme/uke pairings before!

Ohayo, minnasan! The sun is actually shining today, and even though there's quite a wind, it's been a very nice day! I went out and did my usual three mile walk today. I'm working slowly up to four miles, but my knee started giving me a bit of grief on my way back home, so I had to settle for just doing three today. ::smiles:: I really didn't mind though, it was just good to get outside and really enjoy the fresh air!

LNchan, I congratulate you on getting the program finally finished! You deserve a pat on the back, lots of chocolate, and some gratituous, pointless NC-17 yaoi... I'll see if I can in least provide one of those three... ::Hakkai gives her worried look:: That's right, smiling boy, you're gonna' prolly get laid again... ::Hakkai smiles ruefully::

Cosplay news, I'm pleased to say that I've found the pattern I'll need to alter for my "secret" costume... It was actually right under my nose. I had to find a really good picture of the outfit before I realized I was making it WAAAAAY harder than it needed to be. Now I just need to find the right material. I want it to be heavier and more sturdy, since I have plans to actually wear this costume just out and about. If it's heavier, I know that it'll hold together much better, ne?

Anime news and personal opinion, my Oniisan related to me the review they did of the English version of "Saiyuki" in his "Play" magazine the other day. To my great disappointment, Sissy and him told me that they seemed to have changed quite a bit of the "relationships" between the characters, (Not JUST between Gojyo and Hakkai, but everyone invovled) and added a lot more cursing than is normally in the series. Now I realize that this is partially because Saiyuki is still considered a shonen show and ADV is most likely trying to lure the male buyer. But this brings me back to the whole thing relating back to the Evangelion TV series. ADV wouldn't release the original cover of the 13th video in the series, because it showed Kaworu and Shinji in their plugsuits in a shonen ai embrace and they were afraid it would scare off their dominate male buyers. So, it seems that they may be tossing the same stone involving the Saiyuki series. Not saying that I'm correct by any means, after all, this is just my opinion on it. I guess though the dubbing has been done quite well, so if you're a fan of the dubbed anime, still go and check it out! Saiyuki, whether in English or Japanese, is STILL a fabulous series and should be experienced by all! Not that I'm bias or anything...

Ohayo, minnasan! I hope that everyone is doing well. Gomen nasai that I haven't posted for a long while, I was finishing out the week of work and of getting the rest of my birthday celebration finished! I like to think that this year was the "Year of the Action Figure..." ::chuckles:: That stems from the fact that everyone seemed to have given me really nice action figures. Which is totally kewl since I'm a collector!

Good cosplay news, I've finished Sissy's jacket and beret! They both turned out much nicer than I had anticipated! Plus, the material is quite loose and free flowing, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the whole outfit comes together! Now I've got new modeling clay so I can replicate the cross Misato wears around her neck. I'm trying to make it out of a more "air drying" based clay so it won't be too heavy on Sissy's neck! Mum and I are currently looking for a slightly heavier material for my other cosplay costume, which is the "secret costume" I've been mentioning! A few of you know, but the rest of you are just gonna' have to be in suspense...
