CURRENT SONG:
"Duvet" by BOA from "Serial Experiment Lain..."

Ohayo, minnasan, I hope that everyone is doing well out in cyber land... I just finished watching the last three episodes of "Lain" last night and after my head stopped hurting from all the realizations, I can honestly say that series is virtually flawless in execution. What disturbs me more is the fact that I really did understand the whole series when it was completed. In all honesty, I'm not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing! ::laughs::

Harry Potter's new book of course is out today, but even though I am a huge fan, I'm gonna' wait well until the hoopla dies down. I have a friend who's reserved like 3 copies of the book, so I'm just gonna' borrow one of hers to read. Either that, or I'll just go to the library, since I can just rent it there. ::chuckles:: Don't get me wrong, I totally LUV Harry Potter, just not enough to stand in a line at midnight to get the next book...

Cosplay news for today, it's really weird now that they've released Saiyuki in America to now see all these Saiyuki cosplayers. I guess it's odd for me, since I was actually one of the first Saiyuki cosplayers in America, and I started dressing as Cho Hakkai over two years ago. ::chuckles:: It's so weird seeing all these Sanzos, Gojyos, Hakkais and Gokus now... But it's good to see that the series is getting a lot more exposure, ne? I'll have to pick out one of Hakkai's "alternative outfit designs" from Minekurasama's art books just so I can set myself apart next year!

The doujinshi I've been working on for Starchan is currently 11 pages long, and I'm really pleased at how things are going with it!... The story is going to be terribly bittersweet and I hope that it will make a real impact on those who read it. I didn't want it to be JUST a yaoi doujinshi, (though there is plenty of that in there), I wanted it to have a lot of substance too!

Quizzy time for today comes compliments of the Ydoc website, a great place to take quizzes, especially if you're the type who enjoy "tongue in cheek" humor...

What Anime Hue Am I?

What anime hue are you?

::grinz:: Not a bit suprised there, purple is my favorite color! Followed very closely by silver, then white, then believe it or not, pink! Guess that's no suprise when you look at my Blog, ne? But purple still rules the root!

Well, that's all for today, minnasan! Domo arigato for the all the hits, it's nice to know you're so curious about me! ::smiles:: Sign my Guestbook onegai, and ja ne for now! =~.^=V (Proud Supporter of the 58 Pairing!)

CURRENT SONG:
"I'm Afraid of Americans (original mix) by David Bowie from Best of Bowie 2002

Ohayo, minnasan! I hope that everyone is doing well and had a fine weekend. Due to my work schedule, today is actually the last day of my weekend, I go back to work on Thursday. ::sighs:: Ah, well, in least it's work, ne? The weather has been fabulous here, it's been hot, humid and the sun seems to never stop blazing. Basically I'm as happy as lizard on a rock in the middle of the Sierra desert. ::grinz:: I'm also turning a rather nice shade of golden tan thanks to my 3 1/2 mile walks I do every day!...

Cosplay news is very exciting for me today! Thanks to my grams, I was able to virtually complete my surprise costume in one fail swoop today! I altered the pattern by myself last night and after about six hours of work, the whole thing was sewn together, lined and hemmed today! Grams is an awesome seamstress and even though I did pretty much all the sewing myself, she showed me so many shortcuts that it went WAY faster than if I had done it by myself. I just have to get the necessary accessories to go with it, and the outfit is good to go!

Anime news, I discovered a rather intersting new series called Spiral: Deduction. Has anyone heard really anything about this series? I just know the kid with the spiky red hair and the whacked out green shirt and funky glasses is totally my style! OH!, they've finally turned the great manga DN Angel into an anime! I don't think Dark Mousey is half as sexy in the anime as he is the manga, but he's still one looker! How he and Daisuke live in that same body is a kill! Of course, then there's Saitoshi and how much he wants Daisuke and how much Saitoshi's alter ego Krad wants Saitoshi to himself and Daisuke and Dark dead! I love this manga 'cuz it's soooo close to being shonen ai totally, but never quite gets there!

Speaking of DN Angel, the quizzy time for today is just that!

The DN Angel Quiz

You're Dark!

DN ANGEL QUIZ
brought to you by Quizilla

::grinz:: Like I'd have been anything else... I LOVE Dark! I think he's so hot, and then again, I think Krad is nothing short of brutal too!

Well, that's all for today minnasan. Meh arms are a bit tired from all the sewing, so I think I'd better call it a night. Domo arigato for the 6600+ (YOU LIKE ME!!!!!!) hits, sign my Guestbook onegai, and ja ne for now! =~.^=V (Proud Supporter of the 58 Pairing!)

CURRENT SONG:
"Alive" by P.O.D. from a tune in my head...

Well, minnasan, it's the All Car Rally here in my home town this weekend once again. This is a traditional thing where people from all over the nation come to my little itty bitty town and show off their classic cars, as well as display some of the hottest new vehicles around. For anyone who knows me, I am an absolute sucker for fast cars, both classic and new, so I love when this time of year comes around!... I never do get to go to the races, which sucks, 'cuz I love watching them drag. Also since the release of "The Fast and the Furious" and now "2 Fast 2 Furious," our attendance rate for the Rally has went over the top!

Oddly enough though, seeing all those cars triggered an old memory in me this morning... I was looking at all of them driving by, shining in the light, and I thought about 3 years ago. I can still even now here the sound of the tires... Metal tearing up from underneath my hood and by my door, sounding like a banshee in my head... That brief moment waiting for the glass in the windshield and my door to come bursting in on me... Knowing that somehow my tire didn't exsist any more... And for that sheer "stopped" moment, seeing that woman's face before she ran clear into me at 65 miles an hour... And waking up alive... I was told later by the ER people as well as the police that the way the woman collided with me and at the speed she was clocking in at, it should have been much worse. The ER people told me my whole left side of my body SHOULD have been shattered, BUT IT WASN'T... The cops told me that my windshield should have burst, and I should have been cut severely, but IT DIDN'T... They both told me that despite my seat belt, it was still an utter miracle I was alive after that kind of accident...

So why do I bring this up now? Well, I look at those beautiful cars and at my cute little Bleu and I think about that accident alot... And I know that I'm not afraid... I'm not afraid of anything, 'cuz I know I can take it.

I still drive with my windows down, going 75 to 80 miles an hour on the Interstate, wind flying through my short hair, watching the world zip by without a care in the world. You know why? 'Cuz I know that terrible circumstances, awful accidents, bad things happen to good people...

But I'm Alive... And I'll always be that way...
